This Monday, the Presidential Commission for the Restructuring and Reengineering of the Government was formally installed in Caracas, an instance that will prepare a proposal that “complies with the principles of efficiency, transparency and leading democracy”, and that adapts to the historical moment that the country is going through.
According to a press release, the activity was led by the sectoral vice-presidents for Social and Territorial Socialism, Héctor Rodríguez; and for Planning, Ricardo Menéndez, who chair the commission; and included the participation of ministers and those responsible for areas such as human management, public policies, among others, ministries and their affiliated entities.
Rodríguez defined the initiative as “an effort to continue making progress in bringing the bureaucratic structure of the national Government closer to what we dream and want”, that is, “to make it more democratic”, that “all citizens feel part, feel respected and where their needs are efficiently answered”.
The sectoral vice-president emphasized that this entire process will be carried out with respect for the social State of welfare, law and justice that characterizes the National Government, so this restructuring will be done with a view to strengthening and increasing “capacities to care for the People in their primary and basic services”.
For his part, the sectoral vice-president Menéndez recalled that moments of transformation such as this are adapted to the characteristics of the historical moment that is going through, and in that sense he mentioned the existence of the Government Plan of the Seven Transformations (7T), the kidnapping of President Nicolás Maduro by the United States and the political process led by the president in charge Delcy Rodríguez, “which has to do with stability, achieving governance and guarantee the development of the Bolivarian Revolution”.
This context - he remarked - emerges from this approach to restructuring and reengineering the Government.
“What can we get out of this government reengineering process? Everyone thinks about what we can obtain from this process, we always focus on structures, we have a plan that is that of 7T and we must program based on that plan,” he argued.
On May 26, the president in charge Delcy Rodríguez announced the creation of this commission for the Restructuring and Reengineering of the Government to adapt it “to the new reality of Venezuela”.
