The President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, analyzed through a telephone conversation the situation in Syria, as a result of terrorist acts committed by groups that are accused of acting under the orders of the United States (USA).

Through a telephone contact promoted by Ankara, Putin emphasized the need to put an end to terrorist aggression against the Syrian State by radical groups as soon as possible and to provide full support to the efforts of legitimate authorities to restore stability and constitutional order throughout the country, taking advantage of Ankara's existing opportunities in the region, according to a statement from the Kremlin.

In this regard, the Russian Defense Ministry announced major naval maneuvers in the Eastern Mediterranean, near the coast of Syria.

On November 27, the extremist group Jabhat al Nusra and its allies carried out a major attack on Aleppo and other settlements in northern Syria that were under the protection of the Syrian armed forces.
