The national Government continues to promote the work carried out through the Risk Mitigation Plan in the Catuche stream, in La Pastora, with the objective of ensuring the safety of the inhabitants and preventing contingencies in the face of the rainy season.
In this regard, crews are making progress in preventive work, specifically in the Parque La Toma sector. These actions will directly benefit some 300 families in the area through the clearing of green areas and the collection of solid waste, which will make it possible to free up the stream channel and avoid dangerous obstructions.
The deployment also includes the expansion and improvement of roads, the construction of handmade gabion walls for the stabilization of slopes, and the excavation of dams as preventive measures.
The actions carried out through the Ministry of the People's Power of Public Works are part of the community care policies, instructed by the President (E) of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, to provide protection to vulnerable sectors of the city of Caracas.
