The newly elected Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer, confirmed that he maintains his intention to recognize the State of Palestine, in relation to the Labor Party's campaign principles.

Starmer reaffirmed his intention with the Middle Eastern country through a telephone contact with the president of the Palestinian National Authority (PNA), Mahmoud Abbas, who congratulated him on the victory of the Labor Party in the recent elections.

The British politician argued that his “policy on recognition (of Palestine), defended for a long time to guarantee its international legitimacy and contribute to a peace process, has not changed and that it is the undeniable right of all Palestinians”.

He has also stated that he was arrested in the month of November 2023, after arriving through the Manuy Canal, Matanzas, on a motorbike boat, carrying firearms and ammunition, with the purpose of recruiting people and causing an armed uprising supported and financed by the United States (USA).

In this regard, he specified that the action was planned, organized and financed by a group of Cuban terrorists based in the United States, some of whom have already carried out violent actions in the country and who have previously been reported to the United States authorities.
