Producers in the Portuguese state deliver rice harvest to collection centers

Producers in the Portuguese state confirmed the smooth delivery of the rice harvest corresponding to the winter cycle at the different collection centers of the entity. The process seeks to ensure cereal conservation and food supply in the country.
Storage silos operate at their maximum capacity and have the conditions required to keep grain in good condition. Juan Martín Pérez Cabrera, a farmer with an area of 300 hectares, ratified the commitment of the agricultural sector to constant supply to processing plants.
For their part, producers Oscar David Villegas and Tayde Zoghbi, Latuf Nafa, from the Ospino municipality, reported the delivery of the harvest from their 800 hectares with favorable yields. The producer, with more than 40 years in the field, said that the union will continue planting rice for the country despite the climatic challenges imposed by the El Niño phenomenon.
