Professor Omar Hurtado is the new President of the National History Center

The head of state of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela,
Nicolás Maduro, announced on Monday the appointment of Professor Omar Hurtado
Rayugsen as the new president of the National Center for History (CNH),
replacing Alexis Corridor Pérez, who had been in charge of the institution
since September 5, 2023.
“We will continue to bring to the present the
victorious struggles of our Liberators and Liberators, the heroic story
that we are made of as a people and of which we are proud. Our
Homeland is blessed in history!” , said the Venezuelan Dignitary through
his account on the social network X.
Hurtado Rayugsen is a renowned professor and historian who
has left his mark on important institutions such as the
Simon Bolivar Study Center, the Pedagogical Institute of Caracas, and the CNH, where he has made great contributions to national memory.
The Venezuelan historian received the National
History Award in 2017, and is a faithful defender of Venezuelan territory and of the ideology
of Maestro Simón Rodríguez.
In February 2023, he was appointed by the Libertador
Municipal Council as the new Chronicler of Caracas, a responsibility
he assumed with a rescue approach to those who manipulated history, according to a press release from the Ministry of
Popular Power for Communication and Information.
