Proposal for a National Coffee Law was presented to the AN

The deputy from Larense Andrés Avelino Álvarez presented to the plenary of the National Assembly (AN) the proposal for a National Coffee Law in recognition of the producers of this important sector.
During the plenary session this Thursday, the parliamentarian indicated that with the aforementioned legal instrument a historic debt of more than 290 years is settled and coffee is recognized as an economic, cultural and social heritage.
For his part, the president of the AN, deputy Jorge Rodríguez, called on the Parliament's Standing Committee on Economy to take action so that this Law can be debated as soon as possible.
“I request to accelerate the discussion and debate, by the National Assembly, of the National Coffee Law so that it can be approved,” he said.
It is important to note that the bill was raised during the discussion, in the plenary, of an agreement to commemorate Venezuelan coffee farmer's day.
This instrument, approved unanimously, was also presented by Deputy Álvarez, who stressed that it recognizes the important work carried out by these producers in the country.
