PROSALUD Yaracuy strengthened strategies to eradicate bullying

In the framework of the World Day against Bullying, PROSALUD Yaracuy offered a comprehensive symposium to strengthen the mechanisms for preventing and treating violence in the entity's schools.

The institution convened multidisciplinary teams from the Comprehensive Community Health Areas (ASIC) in the municipalities of Cocorote, San Felipe and Independencia. During the day, health professionals updated their knowledge on the technical approach to this problem that compromises the development of youth in the region, the Ministry of People's Power for Health explained in a press release.

Marilyn Velásquez, Single Health Authority in Yaracuy State, called bullying a public health priority. The official confirmed that the institutional mission focused on the protection of children and adolescents affected by physical or emotional aggression. He also stressed that regional commitment guarantees safe spaces for the growth of the student population.
