PSUV and Vietnam sharpen cooperation in various areas

The Vice President of International Affairs of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Rander Peña, met with the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Vietnam, Bui Thanh Son to review all the issues on the interparty cooperation map.

Peña, through his Telegram channel, reported that with this meeting the working visits to Vietnam come to an end; issues related to the mechanisms of periodic political consultation, the theoretical seminars on the thought of Ho Chi Minh and Commander Hugo Chávez, the exchange of interparty delegations and the promotion of investment and economic cooperation between countries, where both parties are promoters.

The PSUV delegate, on his first day of work, held a meeting with Dong Huy Cuong, vice-president of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO), with whom he discussed the importance of peoples' diplomacy as a fundamental element to guarantee deep, true and perpetual relations between our countries.

Then, as reported by Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), he met with the vice-president of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Ngo Le Van, with whom he reviewed the map of cooperation between parties and evaluated the implementation of agreements. In addition, with the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee in the city, Nguyen Van Phong, he discussed the plan to sign the Twinning Agreement between Caracas and Hanoi, “in which the most successful experiences of both capitals can be exchanged.”

Rander Peña, during his stay in Vietnam, held a working meeting with Nguyen Minh Triet, secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Vietnam, in which they approached relevant points “for the future of our interparty relations and for the formation of new generations, showing our agreement to increase political exchange between both youth of the parties”.
