At a key meeting with the rank and file held at the “Tomás Montilla” Culture Center in Guanare, Portuguese state, the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) announced an evolution in its political strategy.
The organization will transcend its traditional functions to consolidate itself as a structure of direct technical and social support to the communes.
The national mobilizer of the PSUV, Nahum Fernández, offered figures that support this new phase of community management: “Almost 36,000 projects were established throughout the country, of which 67% were services and then a phase of more than 12% of productive projects was approved.”
For his part, the Minister of Popular Power for Productive Agriculture and Lands and National Commissioner of the Portuguese PSUV, Julio César León Heredia, together with the national mobilizing team and regional authorities.
During his speech, León Heredia emphasized that the role of militancy should focus on orientation and motivation.
“The party fulfills the task of being a hinge between government action and popular power, which today is our protagonist in the construction of this model of the communal state,” said the National Commissioner.
In addition, the governor of the Portuguese state, Primitivo Cedeño, reaffirmed the entity's commitment to this transformation and highlighted the party's organic strength in the region.
“We are going to that depth in Portuguesa: 191 communes in almost two thousand communities. The strength of our party and of the revolution is there, and every day that passes we will continue to strengthen that structure more,” said the regional president.
With this deployment, the PSUV seeks to energize the execution of local projects and ensure that the party structure is the main support for the development of communities in the construction of the communal state.
