PSUV strongly rejects coup attempt against President Luis Arce

The United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), this Wednesday, June 26, issued a statement in which it strongly rejects the attempted fascist coup against the president of Bolivia, Luis Arce.

Below is the full text of the PSUV:

From the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), we categorically express our absolute condemnation and rejection of the coup attempt led by General Juan José Zúñiga, against the Government of President Luis Arce Catacora this afternoon in the city of La Paz.

These military actions, which undermine the order and stability of the Government and its institutions, translate into the breaking of that country's constitutional thread, perpetrated by fascist and coup actors, who have infiltrated the ranks of the Armed Forces, violating Bolivia's democratic institutions in a decisive way.

From the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), we express our unconditional support for President Luis Arce Catacora at this adverse juncture and express our active and timely solidarity with the Bolivian people and their institutions, and we hope that order, stability and peace will be restored in sister Bolivia.
