Public security bodies deployed to contain violent actions against the People

The Sectorial Vice President for Citizen Security and Peace, AJ. Remigio Ceballos Ichaso, reported on the measures developed by citizen security bodies to contain the coup attempt against constitutional president Nicolás Maduro.

In an interview with journalist Madeleine García, Ceballos Ichaso asserted that the outbreaks of violence carried out by intolerant right-wing factors seek to fragment the Venezuelan State. “This is an attack on national identity, to try to impose a fascist model and intolerance and attack against Venezuelans,” he said.

In the same way, he confirmed that these sources of violence are not spontaneous, they are planned and strategic by people who intend to take power by force.

Ceballos Ichaso also stated that the violent opposition has already implemented these methods of violence in the past, which were defeated and in turn stressed that “the destruction of public or private infrastructure, as well as attacks against citizens and against peace, will not be allowed.”

It should be noted that for these crimes, the police forces are already carrying out the corresponding investigations and proceedings to ensure the prosecution of those who tried to attack the peace.

Finally, the holder of the Public Security portfolio, assured that constant monitoring and observation is maintained for the corresponding deployment and that citizen security bodies act with the necessary constitutional forcefulness, to guarantee peace for the Venezuelan people.
