This Monday, July 28, the Venezuelan people took to the streets of the country's capital to commemorate one year since the victory of the Head of State, Nicolás Maduro, in a new presidential election contest.

“We are happy because we have so many reasons to celebrate. First of all, it marks one year since the victory of President Nicolás Maduro as Head of State in a new term. In addition, yesterday, on another election day, we won more than 80% of the country's mayors and youth projects were put to the vote,” said Mariángela Blanco, participant of the day.

In this regard, Pablo González stressed that “a year ago we voted for Gallo Pinto and we were not mistaken. He is the best president in the world, a courageous and warrior who has faced the United States Government to defend us and in every event he has won.”

Sandra Gutiérrez was also in the mobilization, who said that this Monday she went out to march for memory and to pay tribute to the Eternal Commander, Hugo Chávez Frías, who will be turning 71 years old. “There were many times when I marched when Chávez was president. Today, I regret his absence, and I remember it with a lot of love, the same one he had for the country,” he said.
