This Tuesday, Puerto Rican authorities warned about the passage of Tropical Storm Ernesto on the island.

The United States National Office of Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) showed satellite images showing that a storm is approaching the west-northwest of the Caribbean country.

“It's not a hurricane, but it still brings heavy rain,” said Pedro Pierluisi, Puerto Rican governor, while calling on the population to take action against the natural phenomenon.

Pierluisi activated the National Guard and rescue teams in case of floods that may occur, reports the Xinhua news agency.
