Rains caused the collapse of the bridge over the El Nulita river in Apure

The Minister of Transportation, Ramón Velásquez Araguayán, reported that, early this Friday morning, the bridge over the El Nulita River collapsed, which connects the town of El Nula, in the state of Apure, with the town of El Piñal, in the state of Táchira.
In this regard, through his X account, Velásquez Araguayán explained that the infrastructure collapsed as a result of the heavy rains that fell in that town. Vehicle or pedestrian passage through that area is restricted.
“Our president Nicolas Maduro immediately ordered coordination between the different levels of government to respond to this event,” said the minister.
In the same way, Velásquez Araguayán reported that in the next few hours the passage of the Paso Nuevo Bridge, located in the state of Falcón, Troncal 3, Píritu municipality, will be enabled for light vehicles.
“Heavy-duty vehicles will be able to travel on an alternate road that will be enabled within 24 hours,” said the minister.
