Two hectares of the Campo Roraima sector, in Monagas, were reforested with 2,200 forest plants in the continuity of the Chuquisaca Plan, according to the Ministry of Popular Power for Ecosocialism.

The day was held in strategic areas for the conservation of biodiversity and the strengthening of ecosystems and was attended by public servants, students, teachers and residents of the La Pica parish.

The incorporated species include apamate (500), araguaney (500), flamboyán (500), mahogany (300) and pomalaca (400), selected for their contribution to the recovery of vegetation cover and to the protection of soils and water resources.

Plantation mobilizations strengthen coordination between institutions, educational centers and community organizations and consolidate reforestation as a tool for environmental training and social co-responsibility.

With these actions, the Ministry of Popular Power for Ecosocialism promotes the environmental recovery of the territory and strengthens the relationship between communities and nature within the Venezuelan ecosocialist model.
