Regional government sows pineapple bushes in Barquisimeto

As part of the productive policy of the regional government in Barquisimeto in Lara state, land has been recovered that is currently being planted with pineapple and sisal, both items recently promoted at the world's fair in China. Both public and private producers are betting on exports.

Regarding the cultivation of pineapple in the northern area of the city of Barquisimeto, the current local management took back two hectares for the planting of this fruit. These spaces have already reached a plantation of 40,000 pineapple bushes, as part of the first phase of production.

In this way, the municipal public sector joins the traditional crop also characteristic of the Aguedo Felipe Alvarado parish (Bobare), where private producers are committed to exporting, in the medium and long term.
