This April 29, the 2026 Regional Creative Robotics Olympics began in the state of Táchira, a high-level competition that brings together more than 250 young talents from six entities in the country.
The Venezuela Pavilion, located in Pueblo Nuevo, serves as the main stage where, during April 29 and 30, members of the National Scientific Seed Program of Amazonas, Apure, Barinas, Mérida, Trujillo and the host state will demonstrate their technical skills and inventive capacity in the categories of Creative Ingenuity and Follow Lines.
According to a press release, during the two days of the exhibition, a panel of expert evaluators will select the best performing teams to represent their regions in the national grand final to be held in Caracas at the end of May.
The president of the Foundation for the Development of Science and Technology (Fundacite) in the state of Táchira, Oscar Forero, stressed that this activity seeks to reward skill in programming and electronics and to consolidate early vocations and scientific talent that has positioned the region as a national and international reference.
This activity is strategically integrated into the National Scientific Semilleros Program, a policy of massification of knowledge that already has a historic reach of one million young people incorporated throughout the territory.
