The rehabilitation of the José Antonio Páez Highway in the Portuguese state shows 82.80% progress in the stretch between Agua Blanca and Araure, a project that includes the installation of more than 17,000 tons of asphalt as part of the National Plan for Asphalting and Roads 2026 being implemented by the Bolivarian Government.
Information published on the social network account of the Ministry of Popular Power for Transport indicates that the works include milling the surface and demarcation of the road, in order to optimize the mobility of the inhabitants and the promotion of productivity in the Venezuelan Plains region.
These works are part of a larger road care plan that includes the inspection of bridges and the care of other points of the highway, with the objective of consolidating a safe and efficient connection between Portuguesa and other entities in the country.
