The restoration and architectural conservation of the National Pantheon are 35% complete, according to information published on the Venezolana de Televisión website.

In this regard, it became known that the crews and specialized technical personnel of the Ministry of the People's Power of Public Works intervene in their initial phase an area of more than 1,800 square meters with masonry work in the central nave and side aisles.

This phase also includes the leveling of floors and the comprehensive rehabilitation of external facades comprising more than 12 thousand square meters is being carried out; all in accordance with the recommendations and regulations of the Cultural Heritage Institute (IPC), to ensure the recovery of the architectural elements of this National Monument.

“Another important work being carried out is the process of waterproofing 1,300 square meters of roof, a task that has required the careful removal of about 32,000 tiles, which are treated for conservation and reinstallation,” Venezolana de Televisión reported .
