Risk assessment experts inspect Casa de la Cultura in Ocumare de la Costa

This Friday, as part of the technical risk inspections being carried out on structures affected as a result of the double earthquake of last June 24, authorities evaluated Casa de la Cultura de Ocumare de la Costa de Oro, in the state of Aragua.

During the deployment, they acted in a coordinated effort with the technical staff of Civil Protection and Disaster Management, the engineer of the municipal cadastre management and the staff of the local Department of Culture, hand in hand with the lines dictated by the president in charge Delcy Rodríguez, the governor Johana Sánchez and with the support of the local mayor, Wilmer Leal. These actions are part of the framework of Phase Two of the Venezuela Renace national plan, aimed at providing timely attention to public infrastructures, according to the local press.

During the diagnosis of the damage, the authorities confirmed the fall of a section of the perimeter wall, as well as significant damage to the front of the structure. Faced with the latent risk posed by these compromised areas, the Civil Protection Department issued a preventive recommendation urging citizens to avoid staying or transiting near the affected area to safeguard their physical integrity.

With these inspections, the municipal government reaffirms its commitment to the safety of the inhabitants and is making firm progress in the diagnosis necessary for the subsequent rehabilitation of this important space for encounter and the cultural identity of the region.
