This Tuesday, the Russian Federation, through its spokesman Dmitri Peskov, declared that it has taken note of the new ultimatum of the President of the United States (USA), Donald Trump, who last Monday, July 28, set the deadline for Moscow to reach an agreement on the Ukrainian conflict at 10 or 12 days.

The statements come as Russia's special military operation continues, and the Kremlin reaffirms its commitment to a peace process to resolve the conflict with Ukraine and that guarantees its interests, avoiding, according to the spokesman, additional assessments, Telesur details.

Trump's new deadline, released during a meeting with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer in Scotland, represents a substantial cutback from the previous 50-day ultimatum announced by Trump in mid-July.

The US president reiterated his intention to impose secondary sanctions on Moscow and its trading partners if there is no progress.

Peskov emphasized that the process of normalizing relations between Moscow and Washington has not shown significant progress, wishing for greater dynamics driven by both sides.
