Russia described the situation in the Middle East as “explosive”

The spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, described the current situation in the Middle East as “explosive”, which threatens to lead to a major war.

“The Middle East has reached a dangerous limit at which an uncontrolled escalation of tension could break out, and even a major war,” Zakharova told the Sputnik news agency.

In this regard, he indicated that one of the crises in this region is due to the conflict that occurs in the Gaza Strip and the inability of international organizations to stop attacks.

He stressed that the United States Government is part of the continuity of the war in the Middle East because the North American nation has deployed its troops to exercise its domination.

“The increase in the U.S. military presence in the Middle East, in particular in the Eastern Mediterranean, the Red Sea, the Persian Gulf, threatens further escalation,” he emphasized.

He indicated that Russia is calling “to prevent an increase in the spiral of violence that threatens with dire consequences for regional and global security.”
