This Wednesday, Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov said that Western leaders tend to hold the Russian Federation responsible for provocations without providing evidence, referring to statements made by Poland for the presence of alleged Russian drones in its territory.

The spokesman also noted that Moscow has not received any request for official contact from the Polish authorities, so he transferred the issues related to the incident to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

Peskov stressed that these are baseless accusations and that they are based solely on speculation. He explained that the Ministry of Defense expressed willingness to analyze the case together with Poland.

He also reported that offensive actions last night, linked to the special military operation in Ukraine, had no objective in Poland.

The statement comes after the Polish Prime Minister, Donald Tusk, assured that last night 19 drones were detected in his airspace. Supposedly, they were mostly from Belarus.

Tusk attributed responsibility for what happened to Russia. The local police also reported the discovery of seven drones and possible remains of a missile in different areas of the country.
