During the Easter period, when a temporary ceasefire was declared the day before, Ukrainian forces carried out approximately 444 incursions with firearms and mortars against Russian positions, while the Army of the Slavic giant complied with what was agreed in the temporary truce, as reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

According to the Telesur website, this attack was not the only one reported by the military entity. According to the agency, Kiev used “48 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles, including one on the territory of Crimea.”

In addition, drone attacks increased, reaching a total of 900 quadcopter-type devices. Along with the launch of various munitions, these incidents recorded 12 bombings, 33 drone attacks and 7 ammunition launches in the border areas of Bryansk, Kursk and Belgorod provinces.

However, Russian forces in the towns of Sujaya Balka and Bogatýr, in the Donetsk People's Republic, managed to repel the attacks.

Starting at 18:00 (local time in Russia) on April 19, Vladimir Putin ordered a pause in military actions in Ukraine on the occasion of Easter and, at the same time, urged the Ukrainian side to follow his example and declare a ceasefire.
