Russian province declares day of mourning for those killed in gas explosion

The province of Saratov in Russia declared Saturday, July 26, a day of mourning in the
region in memory of the fatalities of the gas explosion in an apartment
building in the homonymous city. This was announced by the governor of
the region, Román Busarguín, who added that to date there are six fatalities.
“On the occasion of the tragic
events that occurred in the apartment building on Blinova Street in
Saratov, it was decided to declare Saturday, July 26, a day
of mourning in the region,” Busarguín wrote on his telegram channel quoted by the international press.
In honor of the victims, regional and municipal flags will fly at half mast throughout the territory. “It is recommended that organizations, radio and television companies, cultural institutions cancel their entertainment programs and events,” Busarguín added, quoted by the Sputnik agency.
