The Attorney General of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Tarek William Saab, stated that the Department of State of the United States (USA), in a report published last March, says that there is no mention of the alleged cartel of the suns, about anti-drug operations in the world.
To the same extent, the report states that there is no relationship between President Nicolás Maduro and drug trafficking, much less the extinct Aragua train.
In an interview conducted on the program A Pulso, by Venezolana de Televisió n (VTV) Saab mentioned that the reports of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) of 2024-2025, “do not mention Venezuela as an actor”.
“They are self-deceiving themselves in an express, conscious way, because if you yourself are saying that Venezuela has nothing to do with the drug issue, how is it that after two months you invent all this? And you invent it even violating your own lie,” Saab said.
The senior official mentioned Washington's incoherence and asserted that these contradictions demonstrate an intentional disinformation campaign against the country.
