SAIME announces immediate care mechanism for processing and receiving same-day passports (+requirements)

The Administrative Service for Identification, Migration and Aliens (SAIME) announced an immediate care mechanism so that citizens can process and obtain their passport the same day, a measure that significantly speeds up the process of issuing this travel document.

Through its social networks, SAIME explained that this is a special procedure that is available exclusively at its headquarters, located in El Silencio, in Caracas, from 8:00am to 4:30pm.

In the case of adult citizens, the only mandatory requirement is the presentation of the original laminated and current identity card.

For the care of minors, the procedure requires the delivery of a simple copy of the birth certificate, the identity card of the child or adolescent (if they already have one) and the mandatory physical presence of their parent or duly accredited legal representative.
