The Sanctuary of Bethany, located 12 kilometers from Cúa, celebrates 50 years as the epicenter of the Marian faith in Venezuela. This temple, one of the few in the world with apparitions approved by the Church, celebrates its “Golden Jubilee” consolidated as a symbol of national identity and a meeting point for international pilgrims, reported the Bolivarian Government of Miranda.

The central commemoration will be this Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. with a Eucharist accompanied by the Betania Choir. The temple will keep its doors open until Sunday to receive devotees.

The day honors the message of peace and universal fraternity that Our Lady would have given to the servant María Esperanza de Bianchini in 1976 and which was witnessed by more than 150 people in 1984. In addition to its spiritual value, the site energizes tourism in the Mirandina region.

From the Government of Miranda, security operations have been coordinated on the Cua-San Casimiro national highway to guarantee the flow of the thousands of pilgrims who visit the site.

“Betania is not only a spiritual refuge, but a moral heritage that promotes peaceful coexistence and family unity in our state,” said Governor Elio Serrano.

He stressed that the message of the “Reconciler of Peoples” is more relevant today than ever, inviting citizens to live this Golden Jubilee in an environment of brotherhood and respect.
