The Great National Pilgrimage to demand the end of sanctions has served to have direct contact with the country's productive sectors, said the deputy to the National Assembly (AN), Saúl Ortega.
“I think that the pilgrimage has served for direct contact between the highest authorities and, let's say, productive Venezuela and that is already an advance... And we believe that it raises, therefore, the need to adjust our agenda and that we definitely allow the takeoff of that deep Venezuela, which is the one that guarantees the country's food sovereignty,” said Ortega in statements replicated by the Venezuelan News Agency.
The parliamentarian stated that the tours and meetings held by authorities in the second phase of the pilgrimage allow us to know firsthand their approaches and needs.
On the other hand, he noted that poultry production has registered growth in recent years and recognized that part of the concerns expressed by employers and workers are related to administrative procedures, bureaucratic excesses and discretionary actions by some officials.
In this regard, he argued that the fight against corruption and bureaucracy constitutes an indispensable task to consolidate economic development.
