Scientific seedbeds promote mining science in the state of Táchira

As part of the massification of knowledge of mining science, through the National Scientific Seed Program, the fifth educational expedition was carried out to the Los Parras Mine in Lobatera, by students from the MAICA High School.
During the visit coordinated by the Foundation for the Development of Science and Technology (Fundacite Táchira), the group of students received specialized training on the various geological structures that characterize the Andean region, allowing a deep understanding of the mineral environment of the area.
According to a press release, the guided tour was led by geologist Paola Guerra, who explained to the young people about the origin of the mineral strata that give life to the Lobatera mines and the technical process of extracting materials.
In addition, to distinguish the different types of carbon, by exploring the concretions and outcrops typical of these veins.
