Scientific Semilleros, champions of the World Robotics Olympiad, arrive in the country

With joy and joy at the success achieved, the Venezuelan people welcomed the 47 boys, girls and young people from Scientific Seedbeds who stood out at the Türkiye 2024 World Robotics Olympiad.
The young talents were greeted with fanfare, troupes and slogans at Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía, in the state of La Guaira.
The Deputy Minister of Research and Generation of Scientific Knowledge, Carmen Virginia Liendo, was present at the meeting in the company of science and technology workers.
“Today is a day of national pride for all the Venezuelans who are here, we are receiving the delegation of the Scientific Seedbed of boys, girls and young people who participated in the World Robotics Olympiad in Türkiye and of course, they played an excellent and extraordinary role,” he said.
The Deputy Minister stated that despite the Unilateral Coercive Measures, “they will not be able to overcome the scientific knowledge of our country and one fact of all this is the role that our boys and girls played in those Olympics. We continue to support from the National Scientific Seedbeds Program promoted by our president Nicolás Maduro, we continue to do science for life.”
He stressed that the triumph of young talents “exalts and empowers us as a country. We are showing not only to our country, but to the entire international community, that in Venezuela we are at the same level as other countries, in terms of technological development, science and robotics, and that means hope.”
The Venezuelan delegation won first place in the Future Senior Innovators category at the World Robotics Olympiad Türkiye 2024, where boys, girls and young people from 90 countries also participated in the categories: Future Engineers, RoboSport, Future Innovators and RoboMission.
Venezuelan youth had an admirable participation, especially the Robotic Dreamers team, which also received the “Aramco Innovation Award”.
