During the 7th Meeting of Ministers, Ministers and Senior Tourism Authorities of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America - Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP), the Secretary General, Jorge Arreaza, highlighted the importance of air and maritime connections as a determining factor for strengthening tourism among member countries, thus promoting more accessible mobility for visitors.
He also stressed the need to harmonize the rules for the granting of visas, especially in the context of multi-destinations, making it easier for tourists from different parts of the world to visit several countries of the alliance with a single procedure.
Another fundamental aspect that was addressed is the positioning of the country brand and regional brand of ALBA, a key strategy for projecting the alliance's tourist destinations at an international level.
“We must disseminate, promote and position our tourism diversity so that the benefits of our countries are known and recognized as attractive destinations for visitors,” Arreaza emphasized.
