SPNS brought medical care to communities in Amazonas affected by the rains

Last weekend, staff from the National Public Health System (SPNS) provided 237 medical care in the Bambú Lucera community, located in the Atures municipality of the state of Amazonas, which has been impacted by recent rains in the state of Amazonas.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Health, these services covered areas such as general medicine, pediatrics, family planning and monitoring of chronic diseases such as high blood pressure, diabetes and asthma.

In addition, as part of the preventive measures, 56 clinical screenings were carried out, contributing to the early diagnosis of various conditions. For its part, the immunization area was actively involved, administering 28 doses of vaccines as part of the communicable disease prevention campaign.

In addition, access to medicines was guaranteed through the pharmacy service, which delivered 3,189 units, allowing diagnosed patients to start their treatments immediately.
