State Security Corps seized more than 3.5 tons of drugs in Apure state

Members of the Criminal and Criminal Scientific Investigations Corps (CICPC), working together with the Special Operations Group (GOES) and the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB), were able to seize 3,563 kilograms of drugs in the Pedro Camejo municipality of Apure state.
According to information published by the Ministry of People's Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, on its Instagram account, following relevant investigations and the processing of intelligence information, police and military officers seized 1,477 pots of marijuana weighing 1,120 kilos with 600 grams and 2,71 cocaine hydrochloride wrappers containing 2,442 kilos and 400 grams.
During the procedure, a subject was arrested and a laboratory for the production of drugs, 1,200 liters of fuel and an aircraft were destroyed.
“The procedure was supervised by the CGSN Douglas Rico, national director general of the Cicpc, G/D Rafael Hernández Aguirre, National Anti-Drug Commander of the GNB and G/D Víctor Guerrero, director against trafficking of the National Anti-Drug Superintendency, together with representatives of the Public Ministry,” the Ministry reported.
