This Friday, June 19, the Ministry of People's Power for Fisheries and Aquaculture held a full day where the regional structure of the National Union of Fishermen and Aquaculturists (UNPA) was sworn in and equipped with outboard motors, wood and cooling equipment to the sector of the eastern entity
During the event, Minister Juan Carlos Loyo highlighted the impact of this initiative for maritime workers. “These are the faces and faces that represent years of tireless struggle and effort. Today, we see the fruits of that commitment to the sector materialized,” he said, according to the report on the ministerial portfolio page.
The fundamental milestone of this day was the delivery of engines under the 50/50 revolving financing scheme for the purchase of outboard motors.
In addition, during the activity, the fishermen received wood supplies for the repair of boats. During the day, 694 tables were assigned to 87 CONPPA, benefiting 174 people, thus allowing a significant reduction in operating costs.
