The governor of the state of Sucre, Jhoanna Carrillo, supervised the work of the comprehensive asphalting plan in the La Llanada sector, where she reported that a total of 6,500 tons have already been applied, after adding an additional 3,000 tons during this phase.
The program contemplates the progressive intervention of the main highway to link it with Troncal 9 and, later, with Troncal 10, with the purpose of consolidating a continuous road network that facilitates traffic and strengthens tourist activity.
The sector secretary of the Second Transformation, Lucy Coa, explained that the crews are working on leveling 2.7 kilometers from Los Bordones, with an estimated deadline of one month to complete the section.
Carrillo specified that the project is implemented through coordination between levels of government and covers actions broader than patching, incorporating attention to edge faults to ensure road stability.
Ahead of the Holy Week holiday, the president reaffirmed her commitment to regional development and the improvement of access to the state's main destinations.
