With great strength and burden of love, the people of Cumaná, Sucre state, took to the streets this Friday to express their strong support for the President, Nicolás Maduro, and to raise their voices in rejection of the sanctions and criminal blockade imposed by the United States on Venezuela.

The mobilization was accompanied by the territorial vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Jesús Farías, who denounced the catastrophic consequences of the blockade imposed by the United States against Venezuela.

“Fortunately, we have been reversing them, but we say that neither politically, morally nor illegally, these sanctions can continue to be applied against our people,” he said.

He also reaffirmed that today the People of Venezuela are in the streets in defense of the independence of the Homeland. “Hope is in the streets (...) The streets belong to the people and we are going to defend the Revolution and sovereignty,” he said.
