Swimming delegation will seek its place in Santo Domingo 2026 in the open water qualifier in Aruba

The Venezuelan swimming delegation will seek its place for the Central American and Caribbean Games Santo Domingo 2026, in the open water qualifier to be held this Saturday, March 21, at the Pos Chiquito facilities, in Aruba.
The Venezuelan men's team is made up of Diego Vera and Ronaldo Zambrano, while in the women's team, the national tricolor will be defended by Daniela Bordones and Daniela Suárez, under the technical direction of coaches Julio Berris and Antonio Saint.
The qualifying round is scheduled for Saturday, March 21, starting at 7:50 in the morning for the men's and at 10:30 in the morning for the women's. Both will swim 10 kilometers, according to the press release of the Ministry of People's Power for Sports.
The purpose of the qualifying event is to allocate a total of 20 places per gender for the Santo Domingo 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games and only 2 representatives per gender per country can participate.
The qualifier will take place in the 10-kilometer race, on a circuit arranged by the local organization of 1,000 meters in length, the competitors must complete a total of 10 laps to finish hoisting.
