Syrian Prime Minister: President resigned and left the country with his family

The Syrian Prime Minister, Muhammad al-Jalali, confirmed the resignation of President Bashar al Assad.
“After talks with the opposition, Bashar al-Assad decided to resign from the presidency and leave the country with his family, giving instructions to carry out a peaceful transfer of power,” said Muhammad al-Jalali, press review RT.
The minister urged all parties involved to renounce the use of violence and to resolve all governance issues through political means.
“We urge respect for the views of all ethnocultural forces in Syrian society, and we support efforts to establish an inclusive political process, based on resolution 2254, adopted unanimously by the UN Security Council,” he said.
The news was confirmed shortly after the announcement by the extremist forces of their entry into Damasco.
According to international media, former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad arrived in Moscow accompanied by his family, after receiving asylum from Russia.
