The Venezuelan table tennis team with a total of 6 medals won the runner-up in the South American under-11 and under-13 that took place in Asuncion, Paraguay
The Venezuelan table tennis team left the national tricolor high by winning a total of six medals divided into one gold, three silver and two bronze medals
The duo made up of Tommy Golding and Gabriel Angarita in the under-11 category won the gold, after dominating the Brazilian team with authority 3-0 in the final.
For his part, Diland Bolívar had an outstanding performance in the men's under-11 singles, advancing with solid victories in each round to settle in the final. There, after a fiercely contested duel, he yielded 3-2 to Brazil's Ranieri Araujo, winning the silver medal.
Meanwhile, in under-13 mixed doubles, Venezuela won the medal with the duo of Gabriel Quijada and Susej Gómez, who showed consistency from the round of 32 to the final, beating rivals from the Dominican Republic, Argentina and Brazil, before taking the silver after falling in the decisive match 3-2 against the Amazonians.
In addition, in the under-11 mixed doubles Gabriel Angarita and Miranda Velásquez also reached the final with a solid career, also obtaining the silver medal after being beaten 3-1 against the representatives of Peru.
The national harvest was completed with two bronze medals, in mixed under-11 doubles, with Diland Bolívar and Charlotte Gil beating Paraguay, Ecuador and Argentina, before falling in the semifinals 3-2 against Angarita and Velásquez.
Finally, in the women's under-13 team category, Sofía Pérez and Loriadni Pineda secured bronze after beating Ecuador in the quarterfinals and falling 3-2 in a close semifinal match against Brazil.
