Table tennis won three more medals for Venezuela in the South American Under-11 and Under-American Championship in Paraguay

The Venezuelan table tennis delegation added three more medals to its harvest, two silver and one bronze, in the South American Under-11 and Under-13 championships in the tournament held in Asunción, Paraguay.
In the under-11 mixed doubles category, the duo formed by Gabriel Angarita and Miranda Velásquez led a brilliant route that led them to win the silver medal, starting with a 3-0 victory against Bolivians Freddy Pereyra and Maia Vaca, repeating dominance in the second round with a 3-1 win over Peruvians Renato Pachas and Fabiana Paredes.
In the quarterfinals, they beat Colombians Mathias Zárate and Luciana Contreras 3-1. While in the semifinals they defeated their compatriots, Diland Bolívar and Charlotte Gil and then won the silver medal after falling 3-1 to Peruvians Samin Mora and Gia Kcomt.
The second silver medal for Venezuela came from Gabriel Quijada and Susej Gómez, who also signed an outstanding performance, starting in the round of 32, in which they won 3-0 against Dominicans Álvaro Cuenca and Ángeles Friedmann, and then beat Argentines Dante Rumbo and Chiara Bellomon 3-2 in the eighth round.
In the quarterfinals, they beat the Amazonian duo of Luis Ferreira and Yumi Iwamoto 3-2, while in the semifinals they repeated the score 3-2 against Nicolás Leyton and Magdalena Gallardo.
In the final, they yielded to Amazonians Lucas Ewald and Luiza Fontanive, securing the silver medal.
For their part, the duo Diland Bolívar and Charlotte Gil took the podium to win the bronze medal.
They started their journey from the round of 32 with a direct pass (bye) and then dominating 3-0 against Paraguayans Sofía Franco and Roque Paiva. Later, they advanced with a close 3-2 win against Ecuadorians Taylor González and Aurora Franco in the round of 16.
In the quarterfinals, Bolívar and Gil kept up the pace by winning 3-1 against Argentines Valentino Alto and Oriana Alvarado. However, in the semifinals they yielded in a contested 3-2 match against their compatriots Gabriel Angarita and Miranda Velásquez.
