The governor of the state of Táchira, Freddy Bernal, announced that he has formally submitted to the National Assembly (AN) the request to decree a Special Economic Zone in the entity, a measure aimed at strengthening the state's industrial and commercial capacity in the face of the economic blockade.

During the National Pilgrimage, the regional president reaffirmed that the state remains operational and constantly growing despite sanctions. “Despite the difficulties, Táchira has not stopped; we are still working, moving forward and winning,” Bernal said, stressing that “we have raised a request to President Delcy Rodríguez. I'm sure it's going to be at any time. They are going to surprise them with this special economic decree.”

The special economic decree will be the necessary catalyst to strengthen the productive infrastructure and protect the stability of the region.

The deployment was marked by a massive motorised caravan that toured the area, symbolizing the resilience of the Venezuelan productive sector. The mobilization served as a platform to articulate the vision of a diversified economy, where the alliance between the public and private sectors is the key to overcoming current financial obstacles.

In the framework of this national day, Bernal stressed that the objective of the pilgrimage is to unify productive efforts across the country. The institutional agenda will continue its course with a next stop in the Portuguese state, where a high-level meeting will be held between Araure's business sector and representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Trade to define new export and marketing routes.
