At the facilities of the Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías National High School, Guásimi municipality, Táchira state, 30 educational electronic kits were delivered, as part of the Small Engineers Agenda of the National Scientific Seedbeds Program.
After the delivery of the kits, more than 50 fourth and fifth year students participated in a first training class, which will enhance their scientific development.
According to a press release, the endowment, which began on March 13, aims to directly impact 100,000 children and young people and train five thousand teachers from all over the country, in the areas of robotics and programming.
This initiative is based on its own developments, such as an electronic card designed by university students, which has approximately 28 sensors and actuators, which has allowed the incorporation of innovative pedagogical tools based on computational thinking.
In addition to the electronic card, the training has the Autana system, developed in free software by Venezuelan engineers, which allows students to work in blocks.
