The candidates presented by the opposition for the elections on July 27 are not participating because they are cowards who do not want to face the people, said the deputy to the National Assembly, Tania Díaz.
“Where are the opposition candidates? Even if they say they participate, even if they put up posters, they don't participate. They don't participate because they don't face either side (chavism and opposition), they're crouching around waiting for this or that to happen,” Díaz highlighted during the podcast Sin Truco Ni Maña, where he also said that this attitude of the right seeks to give him “arguments” to say, after his defeat, that the elections were controlled by the Government.
In this regard, the deputy compared the attitude of the right with that of the revolutionary candidates who do remain deployed in the communities campaigning and taking their proposals to the Venezuelan people.
“We are campaigning, our candidates are on the street, they are going house to house, they are presenting projects, they are talking, visiting community circuits,” he emphasized.
