Tania Díaz: The battle is in the field of the symbolic, in the cultural

During the broadcast of the podcast Sin Truco Ni Maña hosted by the deputy National Assembly (AN), Tania Díaz, together with her guests, expanded on the role of the communication force in the media campaign against the National Government.

“The battle is in the symbolic and cultural field and not as many sectors of political life have wanted to do,” said the deputy.

“There are thousands of digital troops in the country,” explained Alberto Alvarado, professor at the International University of Communications (LAUNICOM), “the troop is a cell of non-war communication combat units that, in an organized way, position a narrative”.

The deputy assured that the troops are combative and exemplified with the program Con el Mazo Dand or “it's not over when the troop voluntarily starts to joke and goes viral.”

“Now with social networks, you no longer know what's true or what's not true,” he said of dealing with artificial intelligence and the confusion that can be managed.
