Tarek William Saab presented his Poetic Anthology “Dreaming of the Long Journey” at FILVEN

In a pleasant atmosphere of conversation and poetry reading, prosecutor Tarek William Saab presented his Poetic Anthology “Dreaming of the Long Journey” (1984-2025), which was attended by Luis Alberto Crespo, Libeslay Bermúdez, Joel Linares, Jesús Salazar and Maribel Prieto, as part of the 21st edition of the Venezuela International Book Fair (FILVEN) 2025.

This presentation stood out for playing, in two stages, between commentary and recital, to contextualize and sensitize the audience about the more than four decades collected in this anthology published by the Acirema publishing house, which was edited and prefaced by the poet Luis Alberto Crespo.

The critic who won the National Prize for Literature 2008-2010, Luis Alberto Crespo, offered a reading with an analytical approach, but from the perspective of emotion and sensitivity of the work presented by Tarek William Saab.

Saab emphasized that his “work as a poet is the same as that of a goldsmith, a goldsmith who works the word” an artisan who works the material like a jewel.

Regarding his work, the author emphasized that he rescues “the beautiful moments, the magical moments that life has given me like bursts of light: they have passed in the midst of exceptional circumstances that go from my first steps in my beautiful native Tiger where I forged everything that I now am”.

In less than six months, this is the second anthology by Tarek William Saab published and translated outside of Venezuela. The first, in Arabic, was presented at the Cairo Book Fair. These editions are in addition to four other publications by the author abroad that are in the process of being translated and printed to be published during 2025 .
