The team promoting the Anti-Fascist International, Angola chapter, held a meeting to discuss strategies to combat fascism.

The leaders of Circle 4F — Angola, the “Dr. Antonio Agostinho Neto” Foundation, the Axiluanda Foundation and former Fundayacucho fellows participated in the activity, who met in Luanda.

During the discussion, it was proposed to organize spaces for reflection and action aimed at denouncing the advance of fascism and imperialism, especially with activities aimed at youth, as well as at strengthening the articulation between social movements and grassroots organizations, MPPRE press review.

This event in the African country was part of a series of simultaneous events organized in more than 300 cities around the world, to condemn imperialism and its mechanisms of violence, as well as solidarity support for Venezuela.

Those present also reflected on the assassination of the Chilean president, Salvador Allende, and the events of the Twin Towers as an expression of the cynicism of the North American empire against its own people to justify wars. In addition, they recalled Commander Hugo Chávez's historic speech to the United Nations (UN) General Assembly.

In this regard, expressions of solidarity were received, through videos, from the president of the Angolan League of Friendship and Solidarity with Peoples, as well as from the vice-president of the World Peace Congress — Africa Chapter, Elisa Salvador, and the coordinator of the Committee of Solidarity of Angola with the Sandinista Popular Revolution and Nicaragua, Mateus Joaquim.
