Tennis player Dakota Ferrer gives Venezuela the fourth Gold at the VI Pan American Youth Games

Venezuelan athlete Dakota Ferrer won gold at the IV South American Youth Games Panama 2026 after beating the representative of Brazil 4-1 to make our anthem ring at the top of the podium.
This 17-year-old tennis player fulfilled the honor of being the flag bearer of the Venezuelan delegation and competes in individual, double, team and mixed modalities, backed by a career that places her among the most prominent figures in Venezuelan youth table tennis.
Ferrer has already made history in the 2022 Pan-American Under-13 Championship by winning the gold medal in singles, becoming the first Venezuelan to win a continental title of this magnitude.
Later, in the South American Under-15 and Under-19 Championships held in Rosario, Argentina, she was proclaimed South American under-15 champion in singles and won three silver medals in teams, women's doubles and mixed doubles.
His growth continued at the 2025 Junior Pan American Games in Asunción, where he and Carlos Ríos won gold in mixed doubles, a result that represented the first gold medal for Venezuelan table tennis in the history of that event.
His most recent achievements include the runner-up in mixed doubles under-19 of the WTT Youth Contender in France 2025 with Jesús Tovar, in addition to the gold medal won in 2026 on the WTT circuit with Vegas.
