Tests are progressing in Termozulia to incorporate 150 MW into the Western Electricity System

In order to give continuity to the National Electric System (SEN) recovery plan, the Termozulia Thermoelectric Complex initiated test protocols for the commissioning of the TZ1 generation unit, which will increase the capacity of the Western Electrical System.

The Sectorial Vice President of Public Works and Services, engineer Juan José Ramírez, together with the Minister of Popular Power for Electric Energy, Rolando Alcalá, and the governor of Zulia, Luis Caldera, led a tour of the Termozulia 1 and 7 plants. During the inspection, the coordinated effort between the technicians of the National Electric Corporation and the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) to carry out these maneuvers uninterruptedly was highlighted.

Juan José Ramírez reported that the activation of this machine will bring an additional 150 megawatts to the western region of the country. This strategic action seeks to strengthen service stability and reduce interruptions in the entity.

Finally, Minister Alcalá reported that these works are complemented by the replacement of more than 280 transformers in the communities and the continuous maintenance of transmission lines during the month of July, measures aimed at protecting the electrical system in the state of Zulia.
